The Amalfi Coast is rather unique, as many believe that the journey along it is as stunning as the scenery itself. The roads are rather narrow and are filled with twists and turns, making the driving every bit part of your experience of the area. It certainly is a unique introduction to the Italian way of driving! Begin your journey at Positano, a great scenic start to your trip along the coast. The beach offers the chance to lie back and relax or you can explore the mountains which offer breathtaking views of the village below.

It is through these mountains that you journey through along the coast, passing over cliffs that tower over the ocean below. Along the coast, you’re spoilt for choice of sites to stop at along your journey including the areas’ many lemon groves. It is from these groves that the regions’ Limoncello Liqueur is produced and it is well worth a try, although wait until the end of your day’s driving to indulge!

Along the coast and in the mouth of a ravine, you’ll find Amalfi. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Amalfi is a busy and bustling town with plenty to see and do. A must for any visitor to the town is a trip to the simply stunning Amalfi Cathedral. Built in the 9th Century, the cathedral is dominated by its impressive staircase leading up from the Piazza del Duomo and its Bell Tower. The Cathedral is just one of the many great architectural sights that the town has become famous for.

There’s something for everyone along the Coast.
